KAZE
Brand Identity, Packaging Design, Visual Storytelling
KAZE is a premium sake seltzer brand that blends Japanese tradition with contemporary design. I developed a full visual identity, including custom wordmark, packaging, and supporting illustrations, designed to express both movement and balance, in line with the brand’s namesake: “KAZE” (風), meaning wind in Japanese.
The visual system pairs minimal, modern typography with traditional motifs and subtle textures, creating a clean yet expressive aesthetic that stands apart from typical Western hard seltzers. Every element, from the embossed kanji logomark to the aluminum can’s fluid gradients, is designed to evoke lightness, flow, and cultural authenticity.
Built for a design-forward, globally minded audience, KAZE brings a refined sensibility to the beverage shelf, merging storytelling and sensory cues in a way that feels both rooted and fresh.
